One of the things I heard on TWiT that was surprising was a type of 'community' feeling. All around a high-priced piece of gadgetry. @Dan, yes, most people are decent. I would say that those in line waiting for the iPhone were also people of wealth to some extent...although the story of the 15 year old spending all the money he had in the world was kind of sad.
One of the surprising things I've heard so far is that the iPhone doesn't have a 'todo' list and you aren't able to sync any of your notes to your desktop. Come on now. I've been using a PDA for years now and have always been able to do that. Seems to me that an iPhone is a step backwards. I wonder how long it will be before people realize they got caught up in the hype and made a terrible mistake and are stuck with it for two years.

If the reports are right and it would cost $3000 over two years to own and use an iPhone, it just proves that as Americans we don't know how to spend our money very well :)

that was my fear....moving from 8 to 9 was not that great of an 'upgrade.' I have no idea how 11 compares.....not sure I want to bittorrent it either. If the company doesn't want to have trials...I should just support those that do :)

That was one thing I was wondering. I downloaded a trial of ULead Video Studio 11, but I couldn't find a trial for Pinnacle 11. One thing I didn't like about Pinnacle was how I kept having to purchase modules to do things I thought I should be able to do out of the box.
